Community Lunch
The Community Lunch has now been running for eleven years!
It was started with the aim of providing a warm and safe space where people of the community could meet, bearing in mind there are people around us who are socially isolated.
It was designed as a non profit making event with any donations going towards expenses eg replacing equipment, food costs, electricity etc.
The Lunch is held in the Parish Hall, noon - 2.00 pm, on the first and third Wednesday of each month from April to October except December when we run a Christmas Special.

Three teams of volunteers prepare a great selection of homemade soups and served with wheaten bread and  cheese followed by tea / coffee, biscuits makes it a good substantial meal. Volunteers also set up, serve and clear down tables etc.
To date we have served nearly 10000 meals in what has become a very successful and well supported event!
The lunches are open to all members of the community young and old and you will be given a very warm welcome.
Also the craic is good
